I will warn you now: there is an explicit and ghastly picture at the bottom of this post of an aborted baby. I don't want the picture to take you by surprise.
God, the Creator of all that has been created, was exhaustively, intimately engaged in our existence: "My frame [lit. bones] was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth" (Ps. 139:15 NRSV); and not just our physical existence; He also created our existence metaphysically: "For it was you [LORD] who formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother's womb" (Ps. 139:13).
More to the point, God not only formed us in time but intimately knew us before then, as He noted to the prophet Jeremiah: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you" (Jer. 1:5). What value does God place upon humanity? "Whoever sheds the blood of a human, by a human shall that person's blood be shed; for in his own image God made humankind" (Gen. 9:6).
Most realize the abhorrent, heinous, gruesome statistics that since Roe v. Wade in 1973 America has murdered over 54,559,615 babies, shows a recent statistic (link). Our abortionist, pro-murder president, Barack Hussein Obama, is eager to protect children by strict gun control laws -- criticizing American citizens who have "clung to their guns and religion" (link) -- but thinks that the female gender should retain the right to murder their children as long as the child is still in the womb. Let us examine this logic carefully.
While the child is still in the womb he or she is not worthy of protection, not counted as a person, and has no law for protecting his or her life. If the mother sees fit, she may terminate the pregnancy. (The phrase "terminate the pregnancy" maintains a softer appeal than what the practice actually is: murder.) But let the mother give birth to her child -- i.e., not murder her child while still in her womb -- let her raise and nurture the child and send the child to school and only then can the child be protected, and viewed as a person, a human being of inherent value.
Yes, the double standard liberal politic is easily enough detected. Out of one side of the liberal's mouth, the cry is heard, "Protect our children with strict gun control laws." Out of the other side of the liberal's mouth, the cry is heard, "The woman has the right to terminate her pregnancy" (i.e., murder her child).
The Christian has only one option regarding abortion: such is considered murder and is thus forbidden. So-called "liberal" Christians who pander for the right of women to terminate their pregnancies (i.e., murder their children) have been deceived by an execrable and demonic socio-politico agenda. I name it demonic since Satan is the Destroyer of life ("Apollyon" refers to a "destroyer": Rev. 9:11; cf. John 10:10). Hence to advocate destroying innocent life is to be under the influence of that which is intrinsically demonic.
If I should stop writing at this point I may be considered careless, graceless, or impetuous with regard to any woman who has, regretfully, had an abortion. I've met such women. I've been to their meetings, heard their stories, experienced their emotional and mental pain, seen their tears and prayed for their recovery. To such women, who have prayed for forgiveness and sought the mercy and grace of Christ, I say: Lift up your head, forgiven ones, for your child awaits your welcome at the feet of Jesus.
By the grace of God through faith in Christ Jesus there is no condemnation waiting for us (Rom. 8:1). The wrath of God for our sin was poured out on Jesus and we will not ever experience the slightest strain of God's hatred for sin (John 3:36). Since God's righteous anger was poured out upon Christ, and you have been united with Him by grace through faith, He does not want you to suffer through this life in anguish over your sin.
Jesus said that the kingdom of heaven belongs to all little ones (cf. Matt. 19:14). We believe, therefore, that all babies who die in infancy are received into God's presence by His grace.
All others be warned: the angels of all little ones perpetually behold the face of God in heaven (Matt. 18:10). This stands as an ominous threat to all who would harm any little one (cf. Matt 18:6).
God, as Creator of all, is exceedingly, intensely narrow-minded about this issue. Intentionally ending a child's life in the womb of a mother is qualified as murder. God considers children a blessing and reward: "Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward" (Ps. 127:3 ESV). A loving and obedient relationship with the LORD brings about a blessing corresponding to "the fruit of your womb" (Deut. 28:4).
Though simplistic, the notion "It's not a choice, it's a child" is right. Can you view the picture below and conclude that abortion is anything but murder? In such a civilized society as ours, who would imagine such barbarism?

Great post. God have mercy upon us for allowing these murders to take place without any concern or care. I pray that we would stand for the truth of God, preach His salvation, proclaim His judgments and call people to repent to turn the tide of this bloodshed.
ReplyDeleteAmen, Roy. We need God's mercy, as well as His convicting presence about murdering our children.
